Kyle Dean Massey has more magic to do! The Broadway star is joining the national tour of the Tony-winning revival of Pippin, beginning performances November 4 at the Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles. He will replace Matthew James Thomas, who will take his final bow in the tour on November 2. Massey will also remian with the tour for its engagement at the National Theatre in Washington, DC, playing December 16 through January 4, 2015.

Massey most recently appeared as Pippin's titular prince on Broadway. (As a matter of fact, you should check out his Broadway.com video blog, Fresh Prince: Backstage at Pippin with Kyle Dean Massey!) His other theater credits include Wicked, Next to Normal, Xanadu, Lucky Guy and Altar Boyz. His screen credits include Inside Amy Schumer, Up All Night, Hart of Dixie, Cupid, The Good Wife, Sex and the City 2 and The Contest.

Pippin features music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Roger O. Hirson and tells the story of a young prince searching for his corner of the sky. In addition to Thomas, the national tour of Pippin currently stars The Voice's Sasha Allen as Leading Player, Lucie Arnaz as Berthe, Tony winner John Rubinstein as Charles, Sabrina Harper as Fastrada and Kristine Reese as Catherine.
