OPA honored for excellence in the arts.

The Nebraska Arts Council announced the 2018 Governor’s Arts Awards honorees, and Omaha Performing Arts was singled out for Organizational Achievement. The biennial Governor’s Arts Awards is Nebraska’s premier event in recognizing individuals and organizations that shape the state’s artistic landscape. The impact of the arts, and these honorees, is felt in the classroom, the economy and the community.

Organizational Achievement: Lincoln's Sympony Orchestra (Lincoln)
Organizatoinal Achievement: The Willa Cather Foundation (Red Cloud)
Outstanding Artist: Alexander Payne (Omaha)
Thomas C. Woods III Partner in the Arts: Kim West Dinsdale (Grand Island)
