Renée Elise Goldsberry received a 2016 Tony Award for her portrayal of Angelica Schuyler in the gargantuan smash hit Hamilton; she originated the role in the production's off-Broadway run. Her other Main Stem credits include Good People, The Color Purple, Rent and The Lion King. Off-Broadway, she has appeared in As You Like It, Love’s Labour’s Lost and Two Gentlemen of Verona. She is also known to her fans as Evangeline Williamson from the daytime soap opera One Life to Live. Her other TV credits include The Good Wife, Masters of Sex and Younger.
